Alonzo M. Bell, DDS, brings three decades of dental experience and a kind, warm sense of professionalism to his practice at The Bell Dental Group. Dr. Alonzo M. Bell received his doctor of dental surgery degree from the prestigious Northwestern University Dental School in 1982. In addition to being a licensed general dentist, Dr. Bell has also completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in many areas of advanced dentistry with a focus on Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Bell has also served as a Dental Examiner testing Dental School Graduates for licensure in Virginia. He has freely given back to the community by volunteering at the Northern Virginia Dental Society’s Mission of Mercy Projects.

Rachel Kogan, D.M.D
Dr. Kogan was born and raised on Long Island, New York, where she developed an early appreciation for great bagels and pizza. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, concentrating in Neuroscience, and a minor in Anthropology.
She went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Following dental school, Dr. Kogan completed a General Practice Residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, where she received advanced training in comprehensive dental care and gained extensive experience treating medically complex patients in both hospital and emergency settings.
Dr. Kogan’s residency experience greatly shaped her patient-centered philosophy, emphasizing comprehensive care and individualized treatment plans. While she valued her time in Ohio, she ultimately relocated to Northern Virginia to be closer to extended family and her fiancé.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kogan enjoys hiking, traveling—especially to national parks—cooking, knitting, and spending time with her fiancé and her Bernese Mountain Dog (puppy), Amelia.
